A round 3.45ct star ruby cabochon with a hazy star, eclipsed by a darker patch in the stone. It’s a vibrant pinky-red with some evidence of heat treatment. It has a small bezel and is flanked on either side by elongated epaulet diamonds. They’re .62ctw and G-H/VS1 - the shape, sparkle, and clarity are killer. All set in a solid chunk of platinum with a high rise and perfect, lovingly worn patina, made in the ‘60s or ‘70s.
