From about 1890 and incredibly versatile. A long, fine rope chain with a satiny, bloomed oval slider holding one little pearl in a hollow. The slider moves easily and the ends of the chain are attached to a small dog clip in a rosier tone than the rest of the piece, probably a replacement but still antique. The chain can be worn at full length, or entirely wrapped around the neck with the clip looped onto the chain for a doubled-up 15.5 inch chain.
One spot on the chain is thinned down by a link. Secure enough for normal wear with lighter pendants, but heavy pendants aren’t recommended.
31 inches long, chain is 1.75mm wide. Slider is 10.5x7mm with a 2mm pearl, and dog clip is 16mm.
14k, dog clip is marked 10k but tests at 12.
