Made around 1870, these earrings are club-shaped formations of French jet, a fancy name for black glass. Three little domes up top are each carved with a starburst, with a flat piece for the bottom portion, each piece set in a bezel. With a backloader closure, the hook enters through the back of the lobe and secures in front. Hallmarked for France.
A small amount of dark patina in one of the hallmarks. Overall excellent condition.
