A figural ring of a woman’s head, part of the Art Nouveau revival of the 1960s-70s. She wears a well detailed hat, covered in flourishes, and a large poppy on each side of her head. Her long hair flows down her neck to a prong-set, orange toned sugarloaf garnet. The poppy stems curve onto the shoulders of the ring in true Art Nouveau style. She may be several decades newer, but she’s a dead ringer for Mucha’s muses.
The nose has been worn a bit flat, and the tip of the garnet has some light scuffing, both very normal wear. Great condition.
Size 5.5
20mm at widest point, band narrows to 2.5mm. Garnet is 4mm wide with a 4.5mm rise.
