Victorian revival, made far more recently. Hallmarked for Birmingham 1994, this ring holds a .84ct oval emerald in a tight bezel. It’s surrounded by a halo of 12 brilliant cut diamonds, G-H/SI1-I1 and adding up to .38ctw. The stones are all held aloft with circular spacers that not only give it a little more rise, but allow light in from underneath to make the saturated emerald practically glow. Fleur de lis shoulder pieces connect the solid, sturdy shank.
Some visible wear to the emerald’s facets. Otherwise nearly perfect.
