The fanciest safety pin I've ever seen. Made about 1910 in buttery solid gold, it holds a row of eight natural pearls along its top edge, bookended by two little grey rose cut diamonds in diamond-shaped platinum settings. It has a French hallmark and it's numbered, but unfortunately the maker's mark is incomplete. It's a perfect blend of fine jewelry and utility, useful as a brooch, pendant, extender, or even a single earring if you're feeling a little 1980s punk.
