Made around 1980, this ring’s focal point is a 2.75ct round amethyst cabochon. The color is vibrant and the stone is almost reflective inside, making it feel like you’re looking into a crystal ball. Thick double prongs hold it in and it’s flanked on the shoulders with twelve single cut diamonds, K-L-M/I1-I2, adding up to .2ctw. All the stones are set on a high gallery for lots of presence. The ring is yellow gold, topped in white gold around the diamonds.
